RED GIANT - THE MAKING OF DARKER COLOURS
This should interest those of you who Like animation and 3D. It's about the making of 'Darker Colors' a low budget short monster film in which monsters drawn by kids come to life. The monsters adopt the characteristics of their 'creation' drawing. So a monster drawn in chalk dissolves into dust when attacked. A monster drawn in wax crayon can be destroyed by fire. The first part of the video is about the shooting but the second part is about the animation and post effects. Lots of references to After Effects and mentions of what sound to my inexperienced ears to be some interesting plug ins. I am giving you two links here - one to the movie and one to the 'making of'. I didn't particularly like the movie itself, but watched in conjunction with the 'making of' it is very interesting. This link is the film itself 12mins This link is the making of 11mins Hope you find it interesting. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
