My first thought was Photoshop ........ but ...........
When I first saw this my immediate reaction was Photoshop and some kind of Tolkienesque fantasy. It's not. It's a fourteenth century Japanese technique of pollarding called Daisugi. Apparently it is finding new relevance today because it avoids the need for replanting and produces more growth.  _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
