Family morphing project
I have been working on this project for a while now and finally got it all together. I had an image in my mind as to how it would pan out and I think it met that expectation. It's a morphing video of all my family's ancestors spanning over 200 years. It ends with my granddaughters and starts with their great great great great grandmother, who was born in 1813. The first half is all the people involved in our family morphing into each other. The second half features morphing the parents and their children together. I was really surprised to see the familial resemblances when the images are morphed. The video goes for about 3 minutes. http://vimeo.com/546332138 _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Amazing work Anna, Just wished it had stopped a little longer at the end of each face, if that makes sense. _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Splendid! I agree with Vibeke, it should pause on each completed face. And perhaps the parents and children should only go one way, rather than back and forth? |

Re: Family morphing project
What a wonderful idea!! I find the black and white is better because the changing backgrounds are less intrusive. For the colour I think I might be tempted to blur the backgrounds for exactly that reason. Like the others I feel a slight dwell on each individual would be better. The slower morphs in the second section are much more effective to my eye for the same reason. This very naughty with real photographs of people but I might just be tempted to flip a couple to avoid extreme left facing to right facing morphs. But that's probably a step too far in terms of authenticity. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Thank you so much everyone for the feedback. I appreciate it very much. Quite often you need other people's eyes to see things clearly. ![]() _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Anna, I've never seen anything like this before, and who was that pretty fair-haired girl? Anyway, incredible! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
