No Photoshop
No Photoshop here. Just come back from one of our day trips to Antwerp where we ventured into the port itself in the north. This extraordinary building is the Port Authority Offices. The original building was a derelict firehouse which was listed for preservation. The authority held a completion to preserve and extend the old building to create a new central office for the port authority bringing together its various departments which had formerly been housed in separate buildings all over the harbour complex. It was one of the last works of the remarkable woman architect Zaha Hadid. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

A remarkable way of preserving the old and incorporating the new. Could use her talent on some of the Friday Challenges. |

That’s astonishing! I’m aware of her work, of course, but this one really is mind-boggling. |

It is supposed to reflect that Antwerp is not only one of the largest working ports in Europe but also the world's diamond capital. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
