3DCoat - An amazing looking 3D app
This is mainly for Dennis. I have no idea if any of you have heard of this. I just stumbled upon this rather extraordinary 3D app by accident. It certainly doesn't look easy ... but, to my untrained eye, it does look rather amazing. Here's a bit about it. Here's a demo video. You need to pass through a rather long 3D tribute to Ukrainian soldiers before the demo itself starts. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Thanks David. Yes, I use it, mainly for texturing some of my 3D models. In my post 'Epstein's torso steam drill help,' I gave a breakdown of 3DCoat to do one of the past challenges. The modelling side looks amazing to but I use other software to model. _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

It looks astonishing but above my skillset. Because I only ever model things from time to time and not people I still stick to Sketchup as my modeller and Strata 3D CX for renders - both of which I have had for more years than I can count. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
