100% Photoshop launch: 6th April 2010
I've just had confirmation that the launch of my new book, 100% Photoshop, is going ahead at Foyles bookshop, Charing Cross Road, London on Tuesday 6th April: http://www.foyles.co.uk/events.asp?#scaplin Foyles is one of London's oldest and most venerable bookstores, and was once the largest bookstore in the world. It has an excellent exhibition space, and the launch will be accompanied by an hour-long lecture in which I'll build a scene in Photoshop entirely from scratch, based on techniques in the new book. It's a ticket-only event, and tickets are free - you just have to send an email to reserve your place: events@foyles.co.uk I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it on the day! |

Hi Steve, Couldn't be better! It's in the holidays and I'm pretty sure I won't have to teach that day so I have emailed Foyles just now and look forward to it immensely. I hope lots of HTCIP forum members will also be able to make it and that some of us could meet up afterwards and have a chinwag. We might need to find a slightly larger hostelry than the previous cosy corner if more of us turn up! I also hope there will be books available for us to buy at the event! So Foyles had better stack the copies high in anticipation. |

I've reserved, hope can see you's as many as possible there, or if not you all can. (need some excuses, few days off my birthday  ).
I'm interested in the chinwag idea Sophie, but not confirmed I can make yet. I hope my book goes to Ireland, otherwise Ryanair will charge me for overweight hand luggage, maybe cr*oks...

Nick, As I guess you know, looks like strike is off/postponed. Phew! also saved a big pain for me needing to get from Gatwick airport, travelling in and out of London several times for Steve et al and getting to B'ham and around before return ORK few days later. I was going to have to use bus, coach and taxi, complicated. Trevor |

I've just heard from Foyles that there are still a few places available at the launch event - so if you haven't booked a place, and would like to come, then do just turn up! Greatly looking forward to seeing as many of you as can make it. |
