[Poll] Christmas meet-up 2017
Ho ho ho! The festive season is fast approaching, which means it's time to arrange out annual HotChiPs Christmas Lunch.

Two possible dates present themselves, Friday 8 and Friday 15 December. Which would you prefer?

Poll: [Poll] Christmas meet-up 2017

Friday 8th 0.00%
Friday 15th 100.00%
Total amount of votes: 4

OK so with four votes in, it looks like 100% of voters opted for Friday 15th December.

However, I have no idea who you are...

I presume this will be in London. I'll travel over from Salisbury this time.

(When confirmed and have approx schedule I may be able to book train tickets to get best price)

We'll get you there one of these days, Michael, even if we all have to come to Shropshire!

Every time you anounce this I think I can't make it, but then I become unemployed and don't have a reason I can't wake up at 4:00 AM and participate. I'd like to stay employed this year, thank you, so maybe I should say either date is fine with me.

Oh yes! 12pm at the George Inn, as usual. I think that's the most convenient venue for everyone. Let's hope they're doing food this year...

I’ve been trying to phone The George to confirm that they will be serving food tomorrow but they are not answering the phone. Their website says that they will be so we’ll have to wait and see.

As I recall last year they had expected us to have booked a table in advance for food. Not sure if they are again in same frame of mind.

Re: [Poll] Christmas meet-up 2017
Just to say how lovely it was meeting up with everyone both in person and via the wonders of the internetty. I am now much better informed about the habits of blackbirds, how to play a theramin, the difference between a helicopter and a gyrocopter (still a bit sketchy on that one despite the best efforts of Gordon and Trevor) and definitely what not to do in the unlikely event that I am flying through thick cloud. Cheers everybody!

Great lunch, good company - it was all going so well until we started on the fruit puns I watched a mango because it was driving him nuts

The wonders of the internet allowed Anna and Sara to join in from Oz and sunny California.

Happy Christmas everyone.
