A wee word on Rotate Tool pricing.
A wee word on Rotate Tool pricing. Recently I tried it on the egg box challenge. It failed completely to produce a usable 3D simulacrum even with several different attempts. Eventually I gave up. When I checked it had cost me 20 credits for each failure. That’s quite fair. The credit system is not results based. But here’s a tiny warning. The minute you invoke this tool you will be charged 20 credits, even if you don’t go on to use it and bail out immediately. When you think about it, this is quite logical and proper. The first thing the tool does is produce a 3D object. It is this that consumes most Adobe resources and this that costs. Not the rotation itself. Once the model is built, repeat rotations are free ad infinitum. So this all quite proper and as it should be, but just be aware, the moment you click that Rotate Object button it costs you 20 credits whether you use it or not! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
