I'm doing a Photoshop talk/demonstration in Foyles bookshop, Charing Cross Road, London on 23rd September. The event starts at 6.30pm, and it would be great if those of you who are able to come could put this date in your diaries - it's free entry, and I would really enjoy meeting any Forum members who can make the event. More details nearer the time! |

Well that's a lucky chance for me! I'll be transiting through London around then so think I can tune/adjust schedule to make it  Just waiting confirmation email.

Many years ago I was using the 'Wind' filter in Photoshop 5 when it disappeared. Unfortunately by the time that the 'Fibres' filter appeared in later versions it was too late to repair the damage. I suppose I could just photograph my sleeping cat, Geoffrey, and composite him in place on my head; but I would have to be pretty good at Photoshop in case it looked obvious that it was a fake. _________________ Maturity is knowing when and where to be immature |

Steve, just got in. Thanks for an interesting and fun seminar. Here's hoping you converted poor Simon to Photoshop after you converted him with Photoshop! It was really lovely to meet you and Deborah, Sophie, Gordon, Nick and Trevor. So nice to put a face and voice to an avatar. Cheers Vern |

What a brilliant evening and it was so good to meet you all. Gordon, that's so quick off the mark and I love the way you have captured our sun tans. I think the picture would have been balanced slightly better if you had cloned out that funny little figure just behind Steve! Steve, I thought your talk was pitched perfectly and helped both novices and the more experienced. Really enjoyable! Nick |

Thanks Steve. Like Gordon said, it was an excellent evening. I enjoyed the demonstration; it was really well done with lots of tips for montagists and photographers. I'm so glad we all had a chance for a chat afterwards. Well done Gordon. Not sure we are properly attired for the scenery! That would have required a substantial piece of cheating! Sophie |

A most enjoyable evening, and I agree with everyone that it was good to meet up. I felt like I knew some of you already, but it was great to talk. Gordon, I think you should have made the lecturn into a bar! Cheers to all. |
