New feature in Photoshop CC 2014: Spin Blur
The update to Photoshop CC was officially announced today, and it brings some very interesting new features. Top of my list is Spin Blur, which makes Radial Blur into something vastly more powerful.

Check out my video to see how it works:

New feature in Photoshop CC 2014: Spin Blur
There are some great new 'big features' ... I have had some fun with the focus based selection and path blur ... but I really appreciate the tweaks that make life easier like improved smart guides, colour blending in content aware fill/patch tool, the colour panel and best of all for me ... brushed adjustments to gradient/radial tool in ACR 8.5 (I haven't checked to see if this is also in the updated Lightroom 5 as well).

I was not at all convinced about the subscription model when Adobe first introduced it but since taking up the Photographer's pack for £8.78 per month I do think it is pretty good value ... and I get workable versions of PS Mix/Touch and Lightroom on my iPad to boot.

On the subject of pricing I noted from the keynote announcement that the Photographer's pack price is now set at $9.99 per month "for all". I wonder if that will mean parity of pricing for us Brits as the high street exchange rate is currently $1.65 to £1 so the price ought to be in the region of £6 to £7 per month.

Steve, I have had Photoshop Touch on my iPad for a couple of months now and have installed the new PS Mix, Sketch and Line there as well. Do you know if Adobe are going to discontinue PS Touch?

Photoshop Touch is continuing, and you can expect an update shortly.

As to the pricing issue - remember that the UK price includes VAT. You're right, we're still paying over the odds, but not quite as much as it sounds.

I have installed the new Photoshop, but seem to have problems getting Camera Raw 8.5 to install.

By the way, I signed up for Photoshop before they included Lightroom and bought Lightroom. It took some work, but I managed to get them to transfer my license for Lightroom to my daughter.
A small victory.

Steve with Spin Blur, I am missing Blur Effects>Motion Blur
Any ideas why and how I can get it to show up?

Thanks
Kathryn

Edit - Solved
(In the top right, drop down menu) I used "Reset Blur Gallery"
Motion Blur now appears.
