...played with this animation banner tonight ... however its matchbox...but still its to large to up load it(over 700kb)

maybe next time

Excellent work Tomasz! I'd love know how you got your gif into such a small ~99kb file. Mine always too large.

Thanks you, Trevor. Its got smaller when you reduce amount of color.I'v done my one from 256 to 16 - as you can see.Its not look good.So when you want something small to save for web a .gif just try lossy, colors and dither options.

Thanks very much for explaining Tomasz.
My source images were photographic, so had a lot of problem controlling the colour space. i guess if use illustration much more easier to control, but ok, our little friend PS will try hard too.

No problemo Trevor. Thats up to you what you like then you use or what is easier and better - of course.
Your spider is clever job, nice one.I'm sure its looks even better without compression.

Tomasz, you know I appreciated your addition before, but looks really good in my opinion for this weeks banner now. I looked more closely. Execution brilliant. Not sure what it means, well I might, or do, but Steve gives me a few ???'s often....
