Steve, I apologize for space wasted.

Vern. Nice pun, welcome aboard the banner wagon, erm, perhaps you are already aboard.

Re: Banner designs
Just managed to squeeze this version in under the 122k limit by lots of trial and error, making it black & white and 12 fps. Lots of fun to create though.

Higher res version @ 25 fps here http://s143.photobucket.com/user/BigVernphoto/media/HotChips-CogsHQ25fps_zpsabe79340.gif.html

James and Anna, I would love to hear about your gif optimization settings.

Steve, adapted from a 3D tut . Still have some difficulties arranging and sizing 3d objects in a scene. Created all the balls, merged and they all scattered and resized in perspective view.

Hi Frank, I've been flicking back through older banners as I want to create some more but don't want to repeat ideas if possible.

I must say I am very impressed with the 3D and animated banners you have produced.

I saw your comment about 3D objects scattering when merged and have a tip which I got from a series of Photoshop 3D tutorials by Daniel Presedo who works for Adobe and calls himself Dramenon on Youtube.

Anyway, Daniel recommends that you put each element into the same view before merging and that way they do not shoot around. I have followed this advice and generally put all of my objects in top view before merging and fingers crossed it seems to keep the objects behaving. Then just adjust the view to suit the whole scene.

Incidentally, I am sure you know this already but if you are merging 3D layers together the lights, camera views etc. of the bottom 3D layer takes precedence.
